S.M.I.L.E. = Easy Ways for Anxiety

We will now add some more to our last lesson about easy ways for anxiety. About our breathing and more. Now that you have learned how to breathe deeply, slowly and gently inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth, you can switch to breathing in through the nose and breathing out through the nose. That is actually what you usually should be doing. Now you will be doing it slowly and gently. This will add to the quality of your life and help you minimize your anxiety.
Now we go one step further.
Do you know what the above letters stand for? This is an acronyme Master Chunyi Lin of SpringForest QiGOng teaches his students.
” S” stands for ” start”, “M” stands for ” my , “I” stands for ” internal”, “L” stands for ” love, ,” E” stands for “engine” If you put these words together, you get a phrase that reads ” Start my internal love engine”. This simply means “smile”! While you inhale and exhale, put a smile on your face.
That is, put a smile on your face that stands there always.
Whatever you do, smile. This smile expresses your state of mind. If your state of mind is gentleness, lovingness, you will be feeling better and better.
What you feel, will get impressed on your cells. On every cell of your whole body. And you know what? This love engine you start by doing so, gives more life to your whole being. To every cell in your body and to your mind.
It makes yourself content and this state of mind irradiates to your surroundings. Everybody can see that you are happy. Your happiness will spread. Instead of feeling anxious, you will be feeling happy. How is that?
Can you see the difference? Feeling happy does not allow you to feel anxious. Smile and all muscles of your body will relax. The relaxation is almost immediate.
You can feel it right away. And your neighbors will feel it as well. You see, by smiling you not only help your muscles to relax, you don’t only help your overall health to be better and to cut back your anxiety, but you also contribute to a better energy around you. How does this feel? Start your internal love engine and start it immediately. You will be thankful you did.
You will win over your anxiety. And that is exactly what will help you live a better life.

Natural Cures for Anxiety

You know, anxiety can be cured in many ways. We would prefer the natural ones. I know that the synthetic ones act more quickly in general. However, there are many natural cures that act as quickly as you want them to.
You will say that anxiety comes up so quickly that you cannot make it disappear in a moment. This statement is only halfway true. I will be showing you how you can face anxiety the natural way. There are many different methods and you can choose the one that corresponds best to you.
As this is a large and vast field, I will be sharing these methods over the coming weeks. Some take into consideration your nutrition, others your breathing , others your overall life, others the more spiritual aspect. You see, there are many topics we can talk about and they will all conduct us to the same result._ Live without anxiety. I guess you all want this.
Anxiety seems to be part of our lives.. As long as it shows up in critical situations, where there is a real thing to be faced, it is ok. This is then more a fear that shows up as a panic attack and not anxiety as such. I must admit that these terms are often used in an inappropriate way. You can look up a dictionary for psychology and you will find an infinity of terms. Not even at a professional level anxiety equals anxiety.
What we are talking about is the emotion that turns up in an unexpected way , that threatens the person who is experiencing it. In most cases, it does not last for hours on end although this is possible. Anxiety as such does not harm you and you will not die, although you think you will drop dead while it lasts. Only in the long run it might have physical effects but we are here to avoid this. This is why I am going to propose to you natural cures.
The first thing I suggest is that you concentrate your attention on your fingers. You may know that each and every finger can help you to calm down.
Press the top of each finger or massage it. The effect is almost immediate.
Start preferably on the left hand. And do it by pressing the top of your pinky finger, then continue to the ring finger, the middle finger, the index finger and the thumb, then go to your right hand and do the same on the fingers of your right hand. By the end of one cycle, you are getting calmer. Repeat the cycle three times. You can do this little massage also when you do not have an anxiety attack. It is always healthy and helpful. It has an effect on all your inner organs and on the nervous system.
This is the first simple natural cure. I will talk about another simple method next time.

Why should I meditate? Does it help with Anxiety?

Meditation has been used for thousands and thousands of years.

And it certainly has helped millions of people and it still does help many many people around the globe.

Meditation does not need any help: you can do it on your own whenever you want to. You don’t need any tools, nor equipment.

Meditation may help you to relax and feel better.

Learning how to be aware of the present moment in meditation will keep your mind sharp and help you focus better in other areas of life as well. For example, you may be able to react faster to road conditions, while you are driving or while you are walking in a dangerous environment. Your focus will be on the situation.

To start the meditation you sit in a comfortable position, either you sit in a chair or on the floor. You may also lie down, if you prefer.

You can close your eyes or you can look down, keeping your gaze a few inches in front of you on the floor.

As you sit, start to pay attention to your breathing. This is a good way to focus your attention on what is happening right now. Don’t try to change your breathing. Just notice how it feels in your lungs, in your throat and in your chest.

If your mind wanders, don’t worry and don’t feel bad about yourself.

Try to notice your thoughts, then let go of them and bring your focus back to the present moment and to your breathing.

While you meditate,  your whole body relaxes and so does your mind. Anxiety does not pop up while you are completely relaxed.

And should you get a feeling of anxiety, you just let go of the idea of anxiety. Your mind goes back to focus on the present situation.

It is, however, possible that anxiety presents itself, may be that you feel certain emotions, such as anger, impatience, sadness or happiness. Don’t try to hold on to or let go of these feelings. They are part of your experience of the present moment. Keeping your attention on your breathing will help you stay focused and not get lost in the thoughts that your feelings may trigger.

Don’t ever think that if your mind wanders during meditation, you are doing something wrong. No, that’s part of your experience Meditation is a practice . And part of that practice means being kind and patient with yourself. It also means returning your focus to the present moment. This process of returning your attention to the present moment can happen over and over again during a meditaiton session.

Are you ready to give meditation a try? Remember that it takes time to train your brain to focus on the present. So be patient and gentle with yourself. Bear in mind: focus on the present helps reduce stress and anxiety. And that’s exactly what you are aiming at, isn’t it?

How Low Self-Esteem Can Be Deadly

Too many suicides are consumed in the world. Behind many of them there is a very low self-esteem. I am not talking about the kamikaze that kill themselves for fanaticism.

Low self-esteem in people who tend to depression or to throwing away their own life is a wide-spread disease. Strangely enough, nobody addresses low self-esteem when talking about these many people who commit suicide.

If in general, people were more aware of the sufferance of others maybe low self-esteem were less deadly.
It is the indifference with which whole communities treat their members that kills many people.
If you listen to the talks among people who know each other for many reasons, be it work, be it because they are neighbors, you may be astonished how flaw these talks are. They remain on the surface. How is the inside, the mental aspect of a person, does he or she have   fears, anxieties, doubts or panic or depression? Who is interested in these aspects of a person? Most of your neighbors are not. They have their own problems and do not want to know those of others.
A person who suffers from low self-esteem remains isolated in his/her mental torture.
If there is no help they can get from people around them, who live or work with them, their self-esteem will get lower and lower.
“Nobody wants me”: this thought will continue to appear in their life, in their, maybe, sleepless nights. This idea of being left alone becomes so strong that they tell themselves that they are nobody, in any case nobody wanted by others. Then the low self-esteem turns into deep depression and at the end, it can really be deadly.
It is important for all of us to have a good word for all people who cross our way. Sometimes just a friendly “hi” can do wonders.

The Many Faces of Anxiety/Panic

If I were to spill my guts about my panic and anxiety history you might say it sounds like I was schitzophrenic. Actually I told somone a while ago just how bad I was and that is exactly what he said; “sounds like you were schitzophrenic”. I even had frightening feelings of body dismorphia and could not sleep.

I want to tell everyone here somthing. I will NOT tell about how bad I was in gross detail because all it will do, ultimately, is freak you out and make you think “my god how terrifying” and that is the last thing you need right now. You do not need to read about my story and then translate it into your own personal fears at this very moment, though I understand how theraputic it can be. Many years ago I was all over the internet joining anxiety groups and shared everything, but little did I realize that was part of what was purpetuating the condition.

The Linden Method saved my life. Check out lindenmethod.com. Anxiety and panic are a NON ISSUE. Ill be honest with you all, I HATE sounding like a damn salesman but I really dont have a choice. I would not be so ardent about showing people this method if it hadnt literally saved my life. I thought I was cursed for life, seriously. I couldnt sleep, had terrifying feelings and sensations all over my body, had very macabre and distrubing thoughts, but THEY DO NOT MATTER ANYMORE. They simply do not exist and I will not get into the very gross and disturbing details of my anxiety/panic past. I just want to talk about my well and balanced PRESENT and tell you, honestly, that you can do it! Please believe me.

The Linden Method is like a step up from CBT, though it does use the same techniques on a fundamental level. The method I used doesn’t allow you to “put it off” or get feelings like “Im too scared to do this, I give up”. There are a lot of parts to the method but its overall methodology is very simple and scientific. It focuses mainly on the amygdala and Charles’ discovery that this small organ in the brain is one of the main culprits in panic/anxiety conditions and once you completely “reprogram” this organ it is impossible to relapse. This taken with the many health and other tips in the pack make for a perfect arsenal. It took me ohhhhh… about 6 months to get to what I would call 90% well where I didnt need the method anymore. It was just hard wired into me and after about a year I was like “anxiety, what anxiety?”. THis doesnt mean that I dont get scared anymore like if I have a nightmare or somthing haha. All the natural and built in safety aspects of anxiety are still there, just not the purpetual 24/7 switched on anxiety.

Another thing that really helped in the method was learning Qi Kung which is very gentle but effective exorsize. It really helps get the blood and oxygen flowing and makes you feel like a rock! I started working again and doing Qi Kung every morning made me feel like I could tackle any sort of physical work easily. It just makes you feel better all around.

Another thing I should mention about this great method is how quickly it begins to work. Within 3 days I was panic attack free. I remember my last panic attack and realizing “This will never happen again”, and it didn’t. This for me was one of the most amazing parts of the method. Once I commited myself to the CD called the “panic eliminator” I was panic free in about 6 hours. When you first listen to this CD you might think, like I did, “this is crazy, does he really want me to do this?” After a few days of letting the information sink in I decided to dive into the actual practice that it tells you to do and BOOM, done!

It is hard for people to understand when I say I cured myself from panic and anxiety completely using just one method. I think because it quite trully is too good to believe to be true. Like “there is just no way” hahaha. I was taken aback myself when I discovered the Linden Method at lindemethod.com and actually called the center and asked them “is this true? Has this method really cured over 80,000 people with anxiety and panic?”. She said very simply “yes, we have an amazing success rate”. Hell, I had nothing to lose! I have already spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on both conventional and unconventional therapies like Reiki and meditation, medical doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, ER visits, and many different kinds of prescription drugs. I was desperate and ready to try anything because NOTHING was working, at least not in a curing capacity.

I can tell you this, I am 100% anxiety and panic attack free. When I look at how I was it is hard to believe that THAT is where my life used to be. I, still to this day, find it miraculous that I cured myself from all the symptoms, sensations, disturbing thoughts, insomnia etc etc. I had just about every thing one could have “wrong” with them with these conditions but I do understand that we are all different. Some people get pain in their limbs while others dont, some people have scary sensations in their brain (like I did) and others dont but it doesnt mean that we are different.

There are many faces that anxiety and panic can take and some people I have found have cured themselves of anxiety and panic jsut by changing their diet, or even just changing their job! I can only tell you what worked for me and 80,000 other poeple, and Charles Linden states right at the beginning of his method that “you either decide to do this or not to do it” and it is as simple as that. I really didn’t have a choice, I mean this is my life! If somone gives me the choice between the possibility of curing myself of this condition permanently or to continue living with it the rest of my life I’ll gladly take the former. And guess what, I did it and so can you!

It is nothing short of miraculous what happened to me. I mean I could seriously write a book about it.
