You know that you often go to a fast food restaurant. Do you also know how many calories you take in with a normal fast food meal?

It is probably more than you think. It might even be the amount of calories you should take in all day long.  All those sandwiches, bread, sauce, meat and beacon. It adds up. The leaf of salad and slice of tomato do not count . They are practically with no calories. In many fast food restaurants  you get fried chicken. The chicken meat is poor in calories but not so the oil in which it is  fried. What do you eat with fried chicken? French fries! And in many restaurants the chicken not only is fried but it is also covered with bread and then deep fried.

However, you can stay away from all these forms of high calorie meals. Even if you eat in a fast food restaurant. Nowadays you can eat a mixed salad, you can have a soup and have some bread and you do not need to put butter on it as the bread has already a good taste.  Maybe that it is even made of cereals that are not wheat. You can even eat a fruit salad that adds fibers but no white sugar. In most cases, the sugar is just that of the fruits themselves.  You can also choose to eat the fried chicken with a mixed salad. This combination helps you to better digest the fat of the fried food as the salad contains also bitter leaves.

If you drink a glass of milk, you could have skimmed milk that brings less calories with it. Instead of a juice, just have plain water. That is what your body needs. And, you won’t believe it, it is also the favorite drink of your brain. In fact, your brain needs water in order to work well.

You see, a fast food restaurant meal does not need to be high calorie food. It is your choice whether you want the high calorie food with its implications for your body or whether you prefer  the health friendly low calorie food. Or a combination of both.
