Anxiety and Your Kidneys

Did you know that your kidneys have an influence on your anxiety and viceversa?

Prevention is a basic tenet of holistic health, and a necessity for the maintenance of optimal kidney health. In its role as blood filter and detoxifier (fluid and waste manager) the kidney is open to significant abuse, from within and without.

Balance is another key wellness principal, and the physical manifestation of balance is the kidneys’ good functioning.. Usually,one has got  two kidneys. However, if you have got only one, it is not a problem. You can live with one kidney as long as you take care of it. The two kidneys are symmetrical bean-shaped organs. Their size is about that of a fist. They are located in the mid-back, below the ribs.

Their function is that of filtering the fluids of the body. The kidneys filter out the impurities that are not desired in your body. They will be expelled either through your skin or through the organs whose task is to do just that.  Obviously, this filtering the fluids  is a very vital function..Your kidneys  keep the body’s fluids in a chemical balance.  If this chemical balance is granted, your mental state is also much more balanced.

This means substances used to balance the interior environment They play a significant role in acid-base balance, and the control of blood pressure In fact, blood pressure is an important indicator for a good balance in the body and in the mind..The kidneys have also another task and that is to  secrete three essential hormones:  These have an important role in the regulation of  blood pressure, of the stimulation of the production of red blood cells  and the third one is an active form of vitamin D.

There are various actions that help to protect your kidneys  And that keep you calm . To be calm also means to not suffer  anxiety. The first thing to observe is to keep your kidneys warm. They are the first organ that suffers from being exposed to cold. It is therefore advised to cover them and not to expose them to cold weather. The second is to drink plenty of water. This does not mean to drink gallons in one go. It means to drink steadily, during the day. A glass of water every two hours is best. The water should not be ice water. Room temperature is best. Although obviously, there are other factors that influence your state of mind, taking care  of your kidneys helps you to prevent anxiety that is strongly linked  to your kidneys.  You can do even more to help your kidneys.

Rub your hands together,  palm to palm until they get very hot. Then massage your kidneys with your palms, then turn your hands around and massage your kidneys with your nuckles. Rub your hands palm to palm again until they are very hot and then pat your kidneys with your warm palms. This is a simple exercise that you can do every day and that helps to keep your kidneys fit. It takes only a few seconds and I am convinced that your kidneys will thank you for this special attention. This is another natural cure for anxiety.

 

A Continuation of Natural Cures for Anxiety

You certainly are now doing what I proposed to you in my previous posts. Do you already feel the difference in your well-being? I bet you do.
Now, let’s get a step further. We have been talking about breathing. I would like to introduce you here to a very powerful way to activate your whole system.
This also means to relax your body more and more. In a relaxed body, the mind is also much less tense and anxiety has no chance.
The human body has various energy centers, the so-called chakras. You can breathe into them and I am going to explain to you how to proceed.
Your main energy center is deep in behind your navel. This is the seat of your life force. Now inhale into this point and, while exhaling, you push the energy to the next spot. This next spot is your bladder. Imagine that the energy you inhale is the energy of the universe that joins your own energy. In this way the energy you can use is much stronger. Then you inhale into the bladder and push, when you exhale, the energy to the spot at the bottom of your body between the legs. Then you inhale in this spot and push the energy, while exhaling, to the next spot that is the tip of your tailbone. Then inhale into that spot. Push the energy, while exhaling, to your lower back. Inhale into that spot on your lower back. Push, while exhaling, the energy to the next spot. This spot is situated between your two kidneys. Inhale into this spot. When exhaling, push the energy to the vertebrae that is situated at the height of your shoulders. Inhale into that spot and, while exhaling, you push the energy to the base of your head. Inhale into that spot and push the energy, while exhaling, to the top of your head. Then you inhale into the top of your head and exhale pushing the energy down to the third eye position, that is to your forehead. Inhale into that spot and when exhaling, push the energy down to your throat. Inhale into your throat and, while exhaling, push the energy down to your heart. Inhale into your heart and, while exhaling, push the energy down to the point behind your navel. This spot is also called the Lower Dantien. This is one complete cycle. You see, you touch all energy points around your body. You can do this cycle continuously. At the beginning you will want to do it for let’s say ten minutes. Then you can increase the time. The best is to do this exercise for half an hour. If possible, do it every day. This exercise will help you in many ways. It is easy to do. You can increase the focus of your mind by doing it. This is a very beneficial side effect. You will feel the relaxatiion in your whole body. You will also feel that your body is energized. This exercise helps not only with anxiety but with a whole range of physical conditions. In any case, it is an easy way to help anxiety and to strengthen your immune system. Chuny Lin, the founder and developer of SpringForestQiGong calls this exercise the “Small Universe”. A Small Universe is the cycle that touches all major energy centers in the human body. I highly recommend this exercise. I do it myself very often. I usually do it for half an hour.
I will continue to give you more natural cures for your anxiety. They all contribute to your overall health. This is also very important. Since I have been doing this exercise, I haven’t had a single cold nor have I had a flu or any other illness. Don’t you think that this is fantastic? I started to do this exercise about 2 years ago.

S.M.I.L.E. = Easy Ways for Anxiety

We will now add some more to our last lesson about easy ways for anxiety. About our breathing and more. Now that you have learned how to breathe deeply, slowly and gently inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth, you can switch to breathing in through the nose and breathing out through the nose. That is actually what you usually should be doing. Now you will be doing it slowly and gently. This will add to the quality of your life and help you minimize your anxiety.
Now we go one step further.
Do you know what the above letters stand for? This is an acronyme Master Chunyi Lin of SpringForest QiGOng teaches his students.
” S” stands for ” start”, “M” stands for ” my , “I” stands for ” internal”, “L” stands for ” love, ,” E” stands for “engine” If you put these words together, you get a phrase that reads ” Start my internal love engine”. This simply means “smile”! While you inhale and exhale, put a smile on your face.
That is, put a smile on your face that stands there always.
Whatever you do, smile. This smile expresses your state of mind. If your state of mind is gentleness, lovingness, you will be feeling better and better.
What you feel, will get impressed on your cells. On every cell of your whole body. And you know what? This love engine you start by doing so, gives more life to your whole being. To every cell in your body and to your mind.
It makes yourself content and this state of mind irradiates to your surroundings. Everybody can see that you are happy. Your happiness will spread. Instead of feeling anxious, you will be feeling happy. How is that?
Can you see the difference? Feeling happy does not allow you to feel anxious. Smile and all muscles of your body will relax. The relaxation is almost immediate.
You can feel it right away. And your neighbors will feel it as well. You see, by smiling you not only help your muscles to relax, you don’t only help your overall health to be better and to cut back your anxiety, but you also contribute to a better energy around you. How does this feel? Start your internal love engine and start it immediately. You will be thankful you did.
You will win over your anxiety. And that is exactly what will help you live a better life.

Natural ways to Help Anxiety

As we already said, there are many natural cures to help people who suffer from anxiety. Many of these cures take into account your body, others help you more with your mind.
Let us focus on your body. It offers so many possibilities. Most people ignore them and it is a pity.
Last time we spoke about pressing the top of your fingers.
Today I would like to talk about your breathing.
Have you ever thought that your breath is the connection between your body and your mind? Without your breath you could not survive. What is strange about your breath is the fact that most people do not breathe properly. Their breathing is superficial. Watch yourself and you will see whether your breathing is deep or superficial.
Deep breathing helps the body to get more oxygen. More than what is usually gets. When an anxiety attack is taking place, the breathing gets hectic, superficial. Unless you are able to control it. You can learn to do just that.
Learn it now, so that when anxiety shows up, you can just switch to deep breathing. Deep breathing will immediately calm your nervous system. Please do it now. Take a deep breath, inhaling through your nose. feel how your lungs are filled with fresh and sparkling air. Then exhale slowly through your mouth. You feel how the air comes out from your lungs. .Then inhale again through your nose, exhale through your mouth. Try to say thanks for each and every breath. This helps you to fix gratitude in your system. I suggest that you do the breathing exercise every day, at the beginning may be just for a couple of minutes,. then you can increase the duration of this breathing exercise. You will feel much fresher if you breathe this way.
When breathing with slow and deep gentle breaths, your whole system benefits from it. You get calmer and calmer. Your nervous system gets what it needs to do its work properly.
Your immune system gets stronger, your brain gets more oxygen and works better.
You see, you can only win. Anxiety shows up when you are tense, when you fear something. With better breathing your tension gets loser or it even disappears. Even if you work hard and get stress related to work, if you just switch your breathing to a slow rhythm, you will immediately feel better. You see, it’s easy. Another step towards an anxiety free life. Take it.now!

Natural Cures for Anxiety

You know, anxiety can be cured in many ways. We would prefer the natural ones. I know that the synthetic ones act more quickly in general. However, there are many natural cures that act as quickly as you want them to.
You will say that anxiety comes up so quickly that you cannot make it disappear in a moment. This statement is only halfway true. I will be showing you how you can face anxiety the natural way. There are many different methods and you can choose the one that corresponds best to you.
As this is a large and vast field, I will be sharing these methods over the coming weeks. Some take into consideration your nutrition, others your breathing , others your overall life, others the more spiritual aspect. You see, there are many topics we can talk about and they will all conduct us to the same result._ Live without anxiety. I guess you all want this.
Anxiety seems to be part of our lives.. As long as it shows up in critical situations, where there is a real thing to be faced, it is ok. This is then more a fear that shows up as a panic attack and not anxiety as such. I must admit that these terms are often used in an inappropriate way. You can look up a dictionary for psychology and you will find an infinity of terms. Not even at a professional level anxiety equals anxiety.
What we are talking about is the emotion that turns up in an unexpected way , that threatens the person who is experiencing it. In most cases, it does not last for hours on end although this is possible. Anxiety as such does not harm you and you will not die, although you think you will drop dead while it lasts. Only in the long run it might have physical effects but we are here to avoid this. This is why I am going to propose to you natural cures.
The first thing I suggest is that you concentrate your attention on your fingers. You may know that each and every finger can help you to calm down.
Press the top of each finger or massage it. The effect is almost immediate.
Start preferably on the left hand. And do it by pressing the top of your pinky finger, then continue to the ring finger, the middle finger, the index finger and the thumb, then go to your right hand and do the same on the fingers of your right hand. By the end of one cycle, you are getting calmer. Repeat the cycle three times. You can do this little massage also when you do not have an anxiety attack. It is always healthy and helpful. It has an effect on all your inner organs and on the nervous system.
This is the first simple natural cure. I will talk about another simple method next time.

What Colors Do You Wear?

Did you know that colors have an influence on you? On your well-being and on your mood?
If you often wear black suits or black underwear you might get negative influences on your overall health,. Black is a non-color and its energy does not help you..
It is much better to wear bright colors. I would like to give you more information on this and I will do so if you like the idea.
Everbody has some colors they like or do not like. Very often it is your intuition that tells you which colors are beneficial and which are not.
However, do you know how your intuition works? and how you can improve your knowledge?
Not only colors are important for you but also directions.

Our body can help itself in many ways. We do not need to get sick. Not everybody will agree on this statement. However, whether you agree or not, it is true.
In fact, our body presents 12 meridians that run through it and that fuel the various internal organs. On these meridians we find many points that represent a help for defending the body against illnesses. These points stimulate our immune system.
They are located in various areas of our body.
Let us start with the face: you can find two points just above the eyes and strictly below the inner end of the eyebrows.
These points are just above the bridge of the nose and help improve your overall health. They are a melting point of all meridians and therefore very important By helping all organs, they also improve your immune system. These are twin points, they always need to be activated together.
Then there are two points just beneath the eyes, in the center of the bones, one on each side. These are also twin points. Please activate both.
The points just above the bridge of the nose and these latter points can be tapped or massaged for periods of 5 seconds each. You can regulate the intensity by yourself. Let the points relax for 3 seconds before you start another 5 second period.
It depends on how you respond. If you feel pain, use less strength.
Your ears have several points and you massage all of them. You massage your ears from the top all way down to the lower end. Do this on both sides at the same time. You should massage the ears nine times. You can repeat this massage as many times as you like, in the course of the day.
Your hands also present a very helpful point. It is in the center of your palms. You massage this point for about 5 seconds at a time, release it and do it for another five seconds. You can do this for a total of 30 seconds. Obviously you can repeat this cycle as many times as you like in the course of the day. This point will especially strengthen your heart and blood circulation that are both important to help your body get a good defense.
Let us go down to your chest. There are two points just above your breasts,
one point on each side. Massage these points for 20 seconds. They probably will hurt. They always do. Everybody says so. Just massage them slightly.
Massage them at the same moment; this is another twin point
A part from improving your immune response, these points are also important for women. They protect you against breast problems.
There is another important point between the two breasts. This point is also sensitive. Massage it for 20 seconds at a time. This point is exactly at the level of the upper end of the breasts. It stimulates your immune system.
Let us go to the thighs. here you will find a special point. This is directly related to the spleen. It not only improves the response of your immune system but it is also indicated in case of anemia., when you have got too little blood or poor blood. You can find this special point on both thighs. They are not twin points, you can activate them separately.
Your feet can help you improve your defense thanks to the point called Bubbling Spring. This is found in the middle of the foot. You may massage it for 10 seconds, that is counting to 10. Then you release it and after a short interruption you can massage it again. Activate them separately, first on the left foot, afterwards on the right foot.
The last point is actually a long one. It is not only a spot, but it is the arch of your foot. Massage it from the big toe down to the end of the bone. Do it for 10 seconds. As you see, there are 10 points as I had promised. Some of them are twin points, that is they go directly together and you stimulate them at the same time. This is the case for the points located on your face and those located above your breast. It also applies to your ears. Al the others are individual points.
All the above points can be massaged for the time indicated above. Then you let go of the point for a few seconds and massage it again for the time indicated. You can repeat this for up to 5 minutes at a time. You can do these massages several times during the day. Massaging these points gives you the help you need to defend your body. You see, there are really ten points in your body that stimulate your defense. Some of them are twin points, other are individual points, as already explained.
The Bubbling Spring point can also help you, should you already have a flu. It helps you to shorten the time of recovery, not only from a flu but also from a cold. As you can see, your body is well equipped and ready to help you whenever you need it.
Start doing it now. There is no better time. Winter is coming and with it often also colds and flu, but you can beat them before they even show up.

Simple Exercises for an Improved Mental State

There are many simple exercises that help us to stay better mentally, physically and spiritually. Many of them are so simple that they are usually overlooked. Who would ever have thought that our fingers present all our meridians, that is all of the energy channels that run in our body?
By simply massaging your fingers, you can change your mental state, your physical health and your spiritual well being.
The fabulous truth about this is that you can do this massage wherever you are. Nobody will get aware of it. It is a natural movement.
Let us look at the various fingers and their importance. To tell you the truth, they are all important. It depends on what you are looking for, you will treat the finger that gives you the result you want to reach.
The first finger is your thumb. You can rub its tip on both sides and you will breathe with more ease. This is very important at the moment of an anxiety attack. This small movement gives you an immediate relief. Better breathing helps you also to get a better mental state.
The little finger helps you in case of low blood pressure and the sensation of passing out. You can press the edge of the nail at the inner side of the little finger. Press hard. It hurts a bit but the result is immediate. Once you get aware that your heart has regained its normal beating, which is immediate, you feel good. This feeling good also contributes to a better mental state. It helps you to relax immediately.
The middle finger is also a good help. If you rub it on both sides, you can improve your blood pressure. By massaging it from top towards the hand you lower your blood pressure, by massaging it from the hand upwards to the end of the finger, you increase your blood pressure. Do this movement for at least 8 minutes a day. You massage alternately the little finger and the middle finger, starting with your left hand.
If you have a diabetes or you know that your pancreas creates you some problem, massage your ring finger and your index finger. Do it accordingly to what I just said about the blood pressure. If you want to increase the pancreas’s work, you massage the fingers from the hands upwards to the top and vice-versa if you want it to work less.
The above examples are also valid for emergencies whereas you can use every finger to improve your overall health.
A part from the fingers, where there are other exercises you can use, (I might talk about them on another occasion) try to massage your ears from top to the bottom. By doing so, you will help all your organs to function well. In fact, on the outer ear, every single organ is present and can be stimulated.
It is really fantastic that Mother Nature has put at our disposal so many simple movements that can help us keep healthy and happy.
You may want to work on your fingers and on your ears as many times as you like. All of these exercises help you improve your mental state and give you many benefits for your body.
