A Healthy Spring Produce and a Natural Cure

Now the leaves are coming back. You can see the green veils on trees and feel the sparkling air while walking and enjoying the awakeining of nature.  Each and every year when Spring is in the air. you feel fresh and ready to face a new adventure. Life is an adventure. If you look at it with curious eyes, you will be happy to see that nature is repeating its outburst of flowers, colors, scents and that you can taste fresh vegetables that not only are delicious but that also deliver a great many health benefits.

I would like to talk about one of the most beneficial Spring vegetables, the asparagus. This vegetable  has been grown for centuries  in most areas of the planet. There exist several hundred types of asparagus but only about 20 are edible. There are three major groups. They have all a different color. The first one is white with long and rather fleshy spears, The second one is green and its spears are less fleshy and thinner  but as long as the white ones. The third group is purple in color and its spears are much shorter than those of the other two groups. In fact the white and the green type of asparagus reach a length of 6 to 8 inches whereas the purple asparagus reaches only 2 to 3 inches. This latter kind has got a fruity flavor that distinguishes it from the other two types. The asparagus should be eaten shortly after having been harvested and bought. You may  store it in the refrigerator for 2 days. After that time it starts to lose water and to shrink.

As asparagus is no longer a luxury food as it used to be time ago, you can enjoy it without spending much.

All edible types of asparagus  bring many health benefits to you. One other reason why you should eat this produce in Spring is its low calorie content. In fact a cup containing 134 grams, brings just 26 calories. .There are many ways to enjoy this vegetable.  You can eat it as it is or accompanied by an egg or some raped cheese on top. You can also cut the spears and mix the chunks with a risotto or with pasta. Whatever you choose, asparagus is healthy and tasty.

You will tell me that this is not a typical spring vegetable. In fact, depending on where you live, you can buy it from February onwards until June or even July. However, its best season is Spring.

The asparagus gives you a wealth of health benefits. I would just like to point out a few of them.

One of the major benefits is its detoxifying action. You can eat freshly steamed asparagus drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with a light seasoning. As this vegetable has high fiber content, it will help your  bowel movement. These fibers can do even more for you. They help prevent colon cancer and other forms of cancer as well. You can avoid taking laxatives if you eat this vegetable. It is also  diuretic and therefore helps you to eliminate waste in various ways.

The asparagus contains many vitamins like C, A, K, E and the complex of the B vitamins. It also brings many minerals to you like copper, phosphorus, potassium, manganese, calcium, selenium, zinc and iron. There are also other components that interest the metabolism and help avoid or better diabetes 2 and heart diseases.

This vegetable can help you  release stress and anxiety naturally if you eat it freshly steamed. You just add some drops of olive oil and  some seasoning. Why can it do this? Thanks to its loads of those B vitamins needed to help fight off stress and anxiety naturally. Enjoy it while it is fresh.

Anxiety and Your Kidneys

Did you know that your kidneys have an influence on your anxiety and viceversa?

Prevention is a basic tenet of holistic health, and a necessity for the maintenance of optimal kidney health. In its role as blood filter and detoxifier (fluid and waste manager) the kidney is open to significant abuse, from within and without.

Balance is another key wellness principal, and the physical manifestation of balance is the kidneys’ good functioning.. Usually,one has got  two kidneys. However, if you have got only one, it is not a problem. You can live with one kidney as long as you take care of it. The two kidneys are symmetrical bean-shaped organs. Their size is about that of a fist. They are located in the mid-back, below the ribs.

Their function is that of filtering the fluids of the body. The kidneys filter out the impurities that are not desired in your body. They will be expelled either through your skin or through the organs whose task is to do just that.  Obviously, this filtering the fluids  is a very vital function..Your kidneys  keep the body’s fluids in a chemical balance.  If this chemical balance is granted, your mental state is also much more balanced.

This means substances used to balance the interior environment They play a significant role in acid-base balance, and the control of blood pressure In fact, blood pressure is an important indicator for a good balance in the body and in the mind..The kidneys have also another task and that is to  secrete three essential hormones:  These have an important role in the regulation of  blood pressure, of the stimulation of the production of red blood cells  and the third one is an active form of vitamin D.

There are various actions that help to protect your kidneys  And that keep you calm . To be calm also means to not suffer  anxiety. The first thing to observe is to keep your kidneys warm. They are the first organ that suffers from being exposed to cold. It is therefore advised to cover them and not to expose them to cold weather. The second is to drink plenty of water. This does not mean to drink gallons in one go. It means to drink steadily, during the day. A glass of water every two hours is best. The water should not be ice water. Room temperature is best. Although obviously, there are other factors that influence your state of mind, taking care  of your kidneys helps you to prevent anxiety that is strongly linked  to your kidneys.  You can do even more to help your kidneys.

Rub your hands together,  palm to palm until they get very hot. Then massage your kidneys with your palms, then turn your hands around and massage your kidneys with your nuckles. Rub your hands palm to palm again until they are very hot and then pat your kidneys with your warm palms. This is a simple exercise that you can do every day and that helps to keep your kidneys fit. It takes only a few seconds and I am convinced that your kidneys will thank you for this special attention. This is another natural cure for anxiety.

Anxiety and Your Spine

 

What do you think these two have in common? Probably a lot. I am going to explain it here. It shows you another natural cure for anxiety.

Your spine or each and every vertebrae contains your life story. Better, each vertebrae contains the story of certain years of your life. And to our surprise, they also contain the traumas of other family members. In fact, it quite often happens, that anxiety is transmitted from one family member to another and  the sufferer themselves do not know why unless they find out about how to solve this problem.

How can you solve it? By working on the vertebraes.

It was an Italian psychiatrist and neurologist who found out that the vertebraes are testimonies of traumas and anxiety. And that there is a way to solve these problems for the sufferer without them to suffer too much. The name of this physician is GIuseppe Calligaris. He was active during the last century in Northern Italy. How did he solve the problems?

Actually, his tools are very easy to use. He used a white cold light he pointed to the vertebrae  containing the secret. The light remains on the spot for approximately 10-12 minutes. The area around the vertebrae shows the sufferance in the form of changing colors. At the beginning and if the trauma is very heavy, the color is dark black.

How  does the sufferer get aware that his trauma and anxiety are dissolving? Emotions turn up.Sometimes there are also physical manifestations like nausea, headaches, itching or pains in various or  in single parts of the body. The emotions may be sadness, fear, anxiety. But, and this is the fantastic news: these emotions and manifestations do not last long. They  vanish with the ending of the treatment. Usually the treatment has to be repeated, especially if the trauma or anxiety are very deep rooted. After each treatment, the treated person may get tired and should then rest for half an hour or so, according to how they are feeling. Slowly and with every treatment it shows more, the dark color turns into a light one. Once the color can no longer be distinguished from the color of the skin, the trauma and anxiety have completely gone. And they have gone for good. They will not come back.

The treatment can even be carried out over the phone. The sufferer does not have to be physically in touch with the therapist. It is true that the therapist cannot see how quickly the color turns to normal but he/she will get aware of the betterment when listening to  the sufferer’s voice. If they can work with a telecam through skype, the sufferer might feel more at ease. That really depends on them.

I do treat people and have seen fantastic results, even after deep rooted traumas and anxieties. Just let me know if you think you would benefit from a treatment.

 

A Continuation of Natural Cures for Anxiety

You certainly are now doing what I proposed to you in my previous posts. Do you already feel the difference in your well-being? I bet you do.
Now, let’s get a step further. We have been talking about breathing. I would like to introduce you here to a very powerful way to activate your whole system.
This also means to relax your body more and more. In a relaxed body, the mind is also much less tense and anxiety has no chance.
The human body has various energy centers, the so-called chakras. You can breathe into them and I am going to explain to you how to proceed.
Your main energy center is deep in behind your navel. This is the seat of your life force. Now inhale into this point and, while exhaling, you push the energy to the next spot. This next spot is your bladder. Imagine that the energy you inhale is the energy of the universe that joins your own energy. In this way the energy you can use is much stronger. Then you inhale into the bladder and push, when you exhale, the energy to the spot at the bottom of your body between the legs. Then you inhale in this spot and push the energy, while exhaling, to the next spot that is the tip of your tailbone. Then inhale into that spot. Push the energy, while exhaling, to your lower back. Inhale into that spot on your lower back. Push, while exhaling, the energy to the next spot. This spot is situated between your two kidneys. Inhale into this spot. When exhaling, push the energy to the vertebrae that is situated at the height of your shoulders. Inhale into that spot and, while exhaling, you push the energy to the base of your head. Inhale into that spot and push the energy, while exhaling, to the top of your head. Then you inhale into the top of your head and exhale pushing the energy down to the third eye position, that is to your forehead. Inhale into that spot and when exhaling, push the energy down to your throat. Inhale into your throat and, while exhaling, push the energy down to your heart. Inhale into your heart and, while exhaling, push the energy down to the point behind your navel. This spot is also called the Lower Dantien. This is one complete cycle. You see, you touch all energy points around your body. You can do this cycle continuously. At the beginning you will want to do it for let’s say ten minutes. Then you can increase the time. The best is to do this exercise for half an hour. If possible, do it every day. This exercise will help you in many ways. It is easy to do. You can increase the focus of your mind by doing it. This is a very beneficial side effect. You will feel the relaxatiion in your whole body. You will also feel that your body is energized. This exercise helps not only with anxiety but with a whole range of physical conditions. In any case, it is an easy way to help anxiety and to strengthen your immune system. Chuny Lin, the founder and developer of SpringForestQiGong calls this exercise the “Small Universe”. A Small Universe is the cycle that touches all major energy centers in the human body. I highly recommend this exercise. I do it myself very often. I usually do it for half an hour.
I will continue to give you more natural cures for your anxiety. They all contribute to your overall health. This is also very important. Since I have been doing this exercise, I haven’t had a single cold nor have I had a flu or any other illness. Don’t you think that this is fantastic? I started to do this exercise about 2 years ago.
